Troubleshooting Before Purchasing: A Real Story Every Caregiver Should Hear

Troubleshooting Before Purchasing: A Real Story Every Caregiver Should Hear

Chair Stuck In Vertical Position
Chair Stuck In Vertical Position

Yesterday, one of our clients called in a panic. His lift chair was stuck in a vertical position, and he was ready to purchase parts immediately — assuming the mechanism had failed. He had already tried everything he knew, and the caregiver was overwhelmed.

Instead of rushing into a sale, we walked them through a step-by-step troubleshooting process. We checked connections, examined the power supply, tested the handset, and reviewed each function carefully.

This morning, he called back:“It wasn’t the mechanism. It was the remote.”

One simple step saved him money, time, and the stress of replacing something that wasn’t broken.

This is exactly why troubleshooting matters — and why families need guidance they can trust. Most caregivers don’t know what to check, what’s safe, or when something truly needs replacement.

At CFS, we believe in empowering families with knowledge. Not every issue requires a purchase. Sometimes, you just need someone to walk you through the right steps.
